Washington Huskies Assemble Star-Studded Coaching Staff Under Jeff Fisch

Shortly after taking the reins of the Washington Huskies football program, Jeff Fisch, the former Arizona head coach, wasted no time in assembling a coaching staff with some of the most recognizable names in football.

At the forefront is Brennan Carroll, who will serve as the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach. Brennan is the son of Pete Carroll, the longtime head coach of the Seattle Seahawks and former USC Trojans head coach. Joining him is Luke Del Rio, the Huskies’ offensive quality control coach and son of former NFL head coach Jack Del Rio.

Rounding out this impressive staff is defensive coordinator Steve Belichick, the son of legendary New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.

This summer, Bill Belichick, Pete Carroll, and Jack Del Rio have all spent time around the Huskies, providing coach Fisch with a wealth of experience and insight as he prepares to lead the team into the Big Ten and a new chapter after the Kalen DeBoer era.

During an appearance on ESPN’s Pat McAfee Show on Monday, Bill Belichick discussed his role at Washington’s practices, offering a glimpse into his involvement with the team.

“I’m just here to watch, and sometimes they ask me to look at something or what I think about this or that,” Belichick said. “Really, it’s been great.”

Belichick clarified that he’s not actively leading drills or taking on a formal coaching role but is simply enjoying the opportunity to be around football and spend time with his son. He expressed excitement for the upcoming Huskies season.

“It’s nice to just get back and watch some action on the field,” Belichick continued. “Being around Steve and Jedd, they do a great job here at this program, and it’s just fun to watch what’s going on, sit in on some meetings, and see the players work. I’m looking forward to following them during the year.”
